Aqua Night V2 Query For Those That Run Them.

Just a question prior to purchasing an Aqua Knight V2 led, this is aimed at those that operate….

Ref the 3 time settings….

If you set Time Setting 1 to A0 B0 C0 at 09.00 the light will turn on at 09.00 and ramp up to whatever setting you have at Time Setting 2? Say for example Time Setting 2 is A90 B75 C15 at 14.00, how long is the sunrise post 09.00?

If you set Time Setting 1 to A10 B10 C5 at 09.00 l’m presuming the light turns on at those settings and ramps up again to full power at Time Setting 2 at 14.00?

What l’m after is how long are sunrise and sunset and is it best to put 0’s in A, B and C for Time Settings 1 and 3?

Really appreciate the info prior to splashing the cash.

This is how I have mine set:
T1 - 08:00
Ch 1 - 100
Ch 2 - 100
Ch 3 - 10

T2 - 17:00
Ch 1 - 100
Ch 2 - 100
Ch 3 - 4

T3 - 18:00
Ch 1 - 0
Ch 2 - 0
Ch 3 - 0

The way that it behaves is:
At 7:50, the light turns on very dimly. Over the next 10 minutes, it ramps up to the T1 settings.
At 17:00 it drops to the T2 settings. It then ramps down to very dim, and at 18:00 it turns off completely.

I was really shocked that it doesn’t just blast the lights at 08:00. It actually ramps up over 10 minutes. It’s a nice touch.

I’m very happy with this light. It has great PAR and grows everything I want it to.

I now have the light and have sussed how it works.

For the money it really is a bargain, just have to get the tank filled and see what it can do.

Everything in my little 10 gallon cube grows really good under it. Mine is about 6.5" off the surface of the water. I have some green and purple stylos about 10" under it that are growing like weeds. I also have some forest fire digi, green goblin and golden rod anacropora about 12" under that are growing really good too. There are a couple of plates and a trachy on the sand bed, about 18" under the light that are also doing very good.

It's a great little budget light. I just wish it had 4 time settings instead of 3.
