I would like to share with you a mod that I did to my Aquamaxx cTech T-Nano Calcium Reactor.

I removed the included prefilter and in its place put a 2" refillable filter cartridge as a secondary mini chamber. It fits perfectly in the holder. It is like a "build in secondary chamber". I had to swap some tubing connections, obviously, so that the secondary chamber receives water from the primary chamber, etc... But all seems to be working fine. I don't know if I will connect the prefilter again or not. Somebody with this calcium reactor told me to remove it because it tends to clog.

Here's a picture of what I did. Would appreciate your feedback.

Very innovative. Definitely bookmarking this for if I ever opt to add a calcium reactor to my setup! How is the Neptune probe working so far? Are you running the single pH probe?

I’m using 2 pH probes. The ORP port can be configured as a second pH probe instead. I placed a pinpoint pH probe. A new pinpoint is on the way for replacing that old Neptune pH probe.

Interesting. The pinpoint pH probes are Neptune-compatible?

Yes. The pinpoint double junction ph probes. I got mine from SaltwaterAquarium. Just make sure to calibrate it.

You can check my other post about a compatible salinity probe. That one requires replacing the connector.
