Aquascape question

The color is a little off putting not sure what that means could be from iron or something else. Looks like limestone and also looks to have been in the ocean at some point with the barnacles and tube worms. Like others have said. It could leach some undesirables in your tank it could be fine. A test could provide answers it also may be a waste of money. The color of the rock is where I am "stuck" could mean nothing at all. You could easily soak it in salt water and test for phosphates after a couple weeks but to test for metals you would need to send out a sample.
 
@Ron Reefman any idea what kind of rock he pulled out?
It's certainly a chunk of dead coral. But having been out of the water for so long, it's impossible to say whether it's safe for a reef tank or not without doing some testing.

I don't have much experience with rocks from Florida as taking live rock is illegal here without a special permit, and then you have to farm it, not just collect it.
