I still need to make a surround for this but, couldn't resist. (Got to shield the side of the light) It was quite fulfilling to complete this for the 37g cube.

21LED on 3 channels with controller that can handle 6 channels....if I ever want to make it larger for another tank.

Yes, the one with controller. But then I changed LED colors to my pref, added fan and heatsink. $195 delivered. They sent extra LEDS and optics, wire, paste, LED tester, and a wire stripper (like i need another..but it was nice "gift")Only negative is the ramp-up and ramp-down on controller is only 30mins.

But it was a nice project,. They answered all emails...and yes even put together the order once I told them my tank and what I wanted. Arrived in 3 business days.

i LOVE DIY!!! I have been adding more spectrums(?) to my diy cree fixture and have been very pleased. Don't think i will ever fork out the cash for a pre made LED fixture, they are pretty easy to recreate.

I'm with you. Considering you can also make the entire fixture exactly to suit your aesthetic.

love the diy! but wish I would have waited on mine! now a nice led fixture only cost $179 delivered
