I'd pause before buying it specifically for a HYDROS hookup until one of the vendors confirms the exact interface. The current AquaWiz manual describes a rear KH-to-pH BNC output and explicitly names Apex, eKoral, or a pH monitor, but I could not find a HYDROS-specific cable/port mapping in the documentation.
I would email AquaWiz and CoralVue with your exact HYDROS controller model and ask them to confirm: (1) the required cable or adapter, (2) which HYDROS input it uses, and (3) how the voltage/pH signal maps back to dKH. I would not assume it is plug-and-play or let it control dosing until that scaling is verified against a hand test. If they give you a wiring answer, please post it here - the docs are pretty thin.
This is the way, super easy to do. Mines been running for several months. You need 1) a hydros controller with an available PROBE port (ph/orp port) and a 2) male bnc to male BNC cable from Amazon.
Once connected together. Add a new input port in hydros of type probe. Select probe mode Alkalinity.
Then using the menu buttons on the aquawiz there is a menu to output a 7.0 and 10.0 calibration voltage. Using those you can calibrate the hydros for 7.0 and 10.0 so that voltages match.
Hydros or Aquawiz?WARNING! The software side is terrible. As a software developer, you can tell it was written by an engineer just trying to get it working. With English not being their first language.
