Aqueon Proflex sump on 54g and plumbing questions?

Well I'm in! Picked up my 54 tonight! Can't find a 15 tall but pf is almost same footprint. Next Is sump, any users running the Aqueon Proflex model 1? Fish store said $180 out the door but wanted to research.

Also want to run the sca 301 skimmer here with a Rio 2100 return pump. Tank will be in living room, is Rio quiet? Can I plumb with flex tubing? Any way to use ball valve with flex?

I would skip a 10 gallon --- most likely wouldn't have enough space to hold the extra water when the main pump was turned off.

Quite a few pumps I would rather have than the RIO. Even a Mag would be better, with an Eheim even better still.

The sump looks decent, but don't like the idea of the return in the same section as the skimmer --- lots of micro-bubbles put back into the tank.

What are the dimensions of the stand? (( inside of it )).

How much head pressure will it see? (( distance from the pump to the top of the return )).

Leaning towards it being a bit on the small side with any decent amount of head pressure.
