I've been trying to find something that will keep the color up in anthias- and figured PE Calanus would be a good cyclopeeze replacement. The problem is, my fish don't really like it. The feeding response is lukewarm at best.

Today I tried a bottle of arcti-pods. Much better!! I think these are both the same species; not sure why the fish like the arcti-pods better.

Experiences?

If that gets a response, then use it. Any time I fed arct pods, responses were tepid at best. They preferred frozen calanoid copepods, though PE's version wasn't out then.

So it's lukewarm vs tepid then!!!!

I haven't seen any other calanus brands- do you recall the company?

San Francisco Bay has reef plankton which is a calanoid copepod

It's great to hear that our Arcti-Pods were accepted by your anthias. The carotenoids in the copepods will enhance the color of the fish. Thanks for using our product. Let us know if you have any questions!
