Are genicanthus angels okay on one feeding a day? Are they like anthias bc they are both plankivores or will they be fine on one feeding a day?

I would feed at least twice a day. You can try to us an auto feeder. They may not grab the food at first but after a couple of weeks they should figure out and start eating.

In the past when I had large Angels always at least fed them 2 times, I do have a Flame angle right now and he only eats once a day

These guys eat from the water column so they would benefit from more than one feeding a day. Initially I would feed more then see if he learns to scavenge like the other fish in your tank. I have a flagfin which has the rep of being difficult, he's been with me for more than a couple of years mostly on 1 feeding a day; and a majestic which I've had for several years. These angels are grazers though, although my flagfin doesn't. I do see them around and behind the rocks likely scavenging like the other fish in my tank.

For Genicanthus I definitely wouldn't feed once a day. 2x for sure. They don't graze on algae like the others.

What about blue throat triggerfish can they be fed once a day? Do they need hard shelled shrimp like the others even though they are zooplankton eaters?
