Are Bubble Traps Needed With Modern Skimmers?

I'd like to hear member's experiences with bubble traps. Back in the day, bubble traps were needed because skimmers put out a fair amount of bubbles. I actually had two bubble traps (a total of six baffles) on my first sump. As I went through skimmers, eventually to the cone skimmer I currently have, I built a two baffle bubble trap in the sump. Realizing no bubbles were coming out of my skimmer, my most recent sump has no bubble traps. So I pose the question, are bubble traps still needed with the newer skimmers today? Let's hear it and see pictures.

I think they still serve a purpose. Most new skimmers are pretty efficient at not releasing a bunch of bubbles but a few still get out. I think a standard 2 baffle "semi" trap is all that is needed

Why would it be "bad"? On YouTube, FishOfHex made a video where he inserts micro bubbles on purpose in the DT (on a timer).
The bubbles gently "scrub" the corals.

My question being, why would these bubbles not be good? :confused:

Aesthetics, nobody wants to look at micro bubbles in their tank 24/7 lol

The micro bubble scrub has been around for a bit, but it's usually done during the lights out period
