Are shrimp gobies worth it?

Are shrimp goby pairs worth it ? Is the pistol shrimp annoyin because it throws sand everywhere?

They are worth it if that's what you want.my pistol doesn't throw sand everywhere but I have a bare bottom tank so there isn't sand the throw.I did have one in a sandbed tank and he didn't throw alot of sand.he just made passages under the rocks to move around in.

Mine has only covered frags when it is
1.Feels as some is a threat to it
2.Or if something is covering its tunnel/entraces

I know whenever I add new frags to the tank,around the pistol's hole, he will pop his claws for a a while,I guess they feel like they are a threat,then I wake up the next morning and they are covered in sand.

I think it is a neat pair to own,because they usually stay side by side which is neat to see with a little fish and a little shrimp.

Mine only makes a mess in front of it's burrow whenever it feels like redecorating, it doesn't purposely cover frags. The shrimp can be shy but the goby is out quite often. He's doesn't stray too far from the burrow though. I picked out a spot in the front of my tank and let them out of the bag right in front of it, they hind right where I wanted them and dug in. I got lucky, if they hid on the back side of the tank I'd never see them.

+1 gar732... i love my pair they're awesome i have a tiger pistol (jobin) and a yellow watchman(bro-nameth). i love to watch both of them, just make sure that if you have a sand bed make sure whatever corals you have on the sandy bottom are NOT near the cave/burrow entrance... i have had mine bury several sessile inverts.... more of my fault though i wasnt paying attention to the pistols redecorating
