Having had numerous full blown sps / lps reefs l’ve learnt that angels can be very hit and miss as regards their attitude towards the said corals.
Now after being out of the hobby a while l’m getting back in with a simpler soft coral setup. How do angels behave towards softies? I’m thinking the dwarfs and also my favourite the Regal Angel….
Cheers for any input.

It all depends on the angel fish. I’ve rarely had problems with coral beauties, flames, multi color or regals in my LPS/softy tanks. With that said, any of them could start nipping. I love angels, though, so the risk, in my opinion is worth it.

Cheers pal. That’s a positive response, as with previous lps/sps systems l gonna give a Regal and possibly a Multibar a try and keep the fingers crossed.

As long as corals “move”, you should be ok, at least my angels haven’t bothered them. I have a Blue, Blueface, French, Emperor, Passer, and Swallowtail — the Blue is bossy toward the Blueface but that’s pretty much it.

Give them plenty of food and they should get along…

Go for it - it’s worth it! Tangs are “boring” - lol

I shall be going for it after the positive feedback on here.
Previous LPS / SPS containing Majestic, Regal and Multibar Angels were never an issue….

Agree it depends on the angel. My flame took a liking to one particular scoly and a candy cane on two separate occasions. The scoly attacks stopped after moving it, interest in the candy cane withered without intervention. I've never seen it touch softies FWIW.

Never had an issue in 3 years of having a bicolour, not even slightly interested in my zoas or lps.
