Got some jewelers handheld magnifiers today and noticed some dots on my 10 gallon mangrove tank that is plumbed into my system. On closer look they are flatworms

I checked my other two tanks (8 gallon and 35 gallon) and couldn't see anything on the glass/rocks/corals and then I realized I have a pair of mandarins in the 35 gallon and an azure damsel in the 8 gallon and they eat flatworms. Guess I'll be buying a new fish for the mangrove tank that eats flatworms!

I don't want to use chemical treatment to tackle the flatworms perse but in theory if I turned off the return pumps could I add flatworm exit to just the sump and keep it circulating since in theory the tanks will all have fish that eat flatworms to make a decent dent in the problem?

Pictures for reference. Guessing theyre not the really bad kind as all the corals look great and are growing.

They could very well be a beign variety. I see them occasionally in my tank. Some types just exist without becoming invasive.

I don't see any issues anywhere else in the three tanks I have plumbed in and they don't look like any of the "bad" ones.

I might go that route but want to try and get a mandarin for the tank since I have a plethora of pods (and flatworms) for them to eat and that tank will shortly be a 70 gallon tank and I might do FW exit right before I swap out the tanks.

I just used Flatworm Exit on the whole system, an initial dose, and a secondary 7 days later.

Some corals a bit unhappy for a few days.

But the flatworms, gone, been 8 months, not one.
