Arrow Crab appitite

My new arrow crab is eating my snails.

Is he eating live snails or just dead snails.

Anyone know for certain cause those dang snails are expensive and his butt will be banished to the frag tank.

Anyone know for certain. Please document your response

Crabs will be crabs and if they have free claws anything that fit in them is a possible meal.
You can limit the possibility of this by making sure he is well fed.

As far if the snails were already dead. How old is the tank? How large is the tank? How many snails? How were they acclimated?

Yes them and sally light foots should not be listed as reef safe both get quite large and are... crabs [emoji23]

Only crabs i stock are hermits and pom poms. And only think of the pom poms as snail safe.
