i got this piece at manca and the edges are starting to turn a whitish pink ive noticed on my other monties it does this when it starts to grow maybe im just being paranoid but its not dying is it?

Any tissue recession? I didn't see any. It may be just changing color and adapting to new lighting, and water parameters.

no no tissue recession that i can see i might move it from the sand bed up alittle bit would this be recommended?

Leave it be, for a few more days. Remember, they like being stable and still. Is it getting good flow?

I think it'll be ok. Just observe it for a few days. Did you dip before you put it in the tank?

+1 That what mine look like when I got Beach bum two weeks into it. Metal halide from previous owner to LED
its been about two weeks that i got it from manca yours recovered? i believe asd uses led in quite a bit of their tanks n im running leds also though

Ive found montis to be finicky about light. I lost a jedi monti when i moved him directly under the lights. They seem to like being just offset not directly under in my tank. I first noticed tissue change then algae started growing on the dead spot. Too much light no good.
