How many hrs can you run the Coral+ w/o burning corals.......fixture 6 to 8 inches from water.....tank 31 inches deep. Coral starting at 12 inches all the way to sandbed....


I have 4 ati blue+ running 13 hrs a day. Wanted to replace 1 of the blues with coral+.....all 4 bulbs on one switch

I honestly don't think the coral + bulb puts off much more PAR than a blue +. You should be fine running them the way you have them. If you want to be safe cut the time by 2 hours and build back up.

You should be just fine. I have my lights on for only 8 hours in my display and my frag tank is on 10.

Whenever changing T5 bulbs... I've always recommended changing one bulb at a time and see how the corals react. Even when changing one bulb of same spectrum. If you want to play it safe, do as DF recommends, start off cutting back a couple hours for a couple of weeks, then move up an extra hour a couple of weeks until you're back up to regular.
