Ati coral plus bulb

I am looking at replacing my bulbs. Anyone running the ati coral plus? Curious.

I'm not sure what the Coral Plus bulb is. Is it the new Purple Plus

It combines the properties of A blue plus 50% +aqua blue special 40% + purple plus 10%. All three bulbs in one.

Were you going to replace it for a aqua blue special? Or a blue plus? A bulb lineup anyone? For a six bulb fixture.

I just received 2 coral plus about 2 weeks ago, and so far I have just one in my fixture. I am happy with the coloration so far, and it does appear to be purple when looking at the bulb, but emits more stand alone daylight color than I expected.

I've got One I replaced a blue plus with, it is a lot whiter than a blue plus and has a bit of a purple tint. Below is a picture of the bulbs from above so you can compare the glow coming off to give you a better perception of the color

The bulb is a lot brighter than I imagined and spreads a lot of light through my entire tank. I would guess it is about an 14k, as it is almost the same color as my 15k xm bulbs. It is more white than I expected.

I plan on using it to replace my blue specials. I have a 12 bulb fixture that is 6 blue +, 2 purple plus and 4 blue specials right now. I really don't like the blue specials. The color spectrum of my bulbs looks to be about 12k right now and I want 20k or maybe even more blue......

I didn't know ati made a coral plus bulb. I could be wrong, but if you had a 6 bulb fixture why not stay with the original aquablue, blue+, etc?

Have seen Clearwater's tank in person since he added the Coral+. Not sure what his combo is but the color in the display looks sick. Think he only runs one in a six bulb fixture but could be wrong

Thanks john. Well I ordered one and tried it. I run one coral plus, 4 blue plus and a aqua blue special. Very happy with the color. I have found it makes the colors pop a little more than just the blue plus.
