I use another ati fixture but at home depot you can buy a 40$ hardwired one

Yes but then you are breaking-in bulbs with a rapid or instant start ballast which is bad juju. Unless you fire it up once and leave the bulb on for 50 hours straight.

Lol i dont even think they have fans on them! It is a pain to burn the bulbs in, but i bought another ati fixture just incase something happens with my current fixture. Ati is usually good with keeping the ball rolling but to some of us a week is too long. Some people including myself are afraid to burn the bulbs in over our tanks. Also have to consider to someone who only wants to burn in 2 bulbs a week. Youll have to manually tinker with your fixture for over a month. You guys got beautiful tanks, im sure you can find a used t5 fixture to have on deck. I have no idea what those cheap homedepot fixtures do. But majority of members and friends that have the dimmable burn their bulbs in with them.
