All Bulbs are brand new or less than 2 months old.

Changes my setup from all Blue Plus to using 4 blue plus and 2 coral plus. Noticed a boom in coraline algae.

But my main question is since the spectrum changed would that promote algae growth too? because I have an outbreak of brown film algae on the glass.

Light run time is about 8 hours.

I figured it out. I had my Skimmer off for about a month I guess I turned it off while feeding the fish and forgot to turn it back on. Darn it man!

I'm surprised it went that long unnoticed. I consider myself a very much hands off fairly lazy reefer and I at least GLANCE at my sump water level, powerheads, skimmer, ato switches, topoff reservoir level, ect a couple times a day. How'd you go a month without even looking at your skimmer? I have to empty mine and clean the cup at least once a week
