Hey guys, I have my ATO sensor in my display tank the amount of water that is needed to evaporate before it kicks on raises my salinity by about .2 or .3 ppt. Is this considered acceptable for my set up: it is a 30 gallon tank with no sump. I have a canister filter a HOB filter and a HOB skimmer.

Thank you for your input I appreciate. Just curious if corals would be ok with a .3 rise before ATO corrects it

What kind of tester are you using? I have ATiO’s on 2 display tanks and the salinity never changes. It should not change and if it does change it’ should not be because the sensor is in the display tank. What kind of ATO do you use ?

My Hanna's were notorious for reading 0.002 low. I went through two before I gave up on them. I guess if your using the same tester for all test tho it should be consistent.
