Hi,

I'm in the process of down sizing from a 200gal setup to a 29gal biocube. I'm thinking of reusing my 10 year old Tunze Osomolator Universal (optical + backup float sensors) since I upgraded to the "newer" magnetic mount a few years ago, it should fit in the 3rd chamber.
My problem is, the pump burnt out last year. I've been told that the replacement pumps might over draw the 800ma limit on the voltage regulator on the control unit and could burn it out. As a result I should not run it higher than 9v. This means I'll need both the pump and a new power supply. I can pick both for ~$40, but is it worth the effort? Are newer ATOs any better? Better sensors? Better control logic? Am i better off just buying new?

Thanks!
