Hey Darren its Mathew(Gixxer600) from the ARC. I dont think they need high light environment but i would say a moderate amount. I think it would do just fine on the bottom of your tank. Are you running 250's or 400's over your tank. Hope this helps.

No they do not require intense light.....They will be fine on the bottom in the sand which is where they are found in nature. Do not put it in the rocks as it can become damaged due the soft thin tissue. The tooth(skeleton) need to be buried about all the way to the start of thier the tissue is.
