I have setup my auto feeder in my sump with a funnel and tube directing it to the main pump to return it to the display.

The trouble I’m running into is, I would like to setup my ATK (pmup) to run for a few seconds after I dump food to help flush the food out of the funnel. I can’t figure out the programming in apex to just make the pmup run for a few seconds 2x per day. Can anyone help?

I can’t answer your direct question, but I tried the funnel/tube to do the same for auto feeder but the return pump pulled a lot of air in through the funnel creating air bubbles in the display tank. May want to keep the tube end not too close to the return pump intake

Would be interested to see it work though.

I’ve been running it without the automatic flush and so far have not noticed any bubbles. The water level doesn’t fluctuate any more than the water level outside of the tube. I will keep an eye on it though, thank you.

I’ve been doing this funnel and pipe set up for years! I do get food build as mentioned. I’ve never though of an auto flush.

maybe add this to the bottom of your current ATO code...

If Outlet “AutoFeeder” on then osc 000:45/000:15/000:00 then ON

Defer 000:15 then off

***So hopefully when your AFS outlet turns on to feed, it will turn on the ATO, but, it will wait 45secs, then spray for 15secs. The final defer statement would be a safety I suppose.

your current code would work, but it would turn on right when the AutoFeeder does. I figured you would want a delay for the food to drop, then flush.

I think either code would work, just depends how you want it

@AdamH300 Robert Bowers posted this exact setup on the Neptune Systems Apex Community Group in FB about a six days ago. Not sure if you’re a member or if he’s also in R2R but maybe he can offer his coding.
