Automatic top off

The only place I have for my top off water tank is inside my cabinet, unfortunately because of plumbing, I had to build a stand for it to sit on. Whenever the pump kicks on because of elevation difference, water continues to siphon into my sump. Any ideas on how to break the siphon after pump shuts off?

So the sump is lower that the ATO tank.

Hmmmm I wish I had an idea for you. I am sure that there is a check valve out there that you can buy. I had the siphon issue last week but my problem was me being a bone head. I didn't notice that the line for my ATO was below the water line

Use a mechanical float valve. That's what I've done for many years and it works well.

I have ATO controller and a small pump plugged into that

Ditch the pump and just use a float valve. Simplifies it some and you don't worry about back siphoning it.

I run my pump outlet tubing to the highest point under my stand. I have a pvc T fitting mounted there with a tubing fitting on one end. The end with the two openings has one pointed up and one pointed down. The top I leave open as the vacuum break the bottom has pvc pipe to my pump. Been running it that way for close to 15 years without a problem.

The exit of the line has to be higher then water level in your top off container

I did something similar. Tee'd my 1/4" tubing and ran it a couple of feet up the back of the tank(open end actually is over tank just in case). Water takes takes path of least resistance into sump and you still have a siphon break.

No it doesn't as long as you have a vacuum break. The outlet of my line (pvc) usually runs between 1-2 feet lower than my reservoir level. The vacuum break needs to be higher than the level in the reservoir.
