Do you think I could use a 1/4" JG fitting in the sump for the drain line coming out? Any issues with a JG fitting that low in the tank? IE pressure and sealing?

not sure I understand the question. Those fittings are typically used to connect tubing to tubing etc. If you submerge one I don't think it would make a difference. But I am not sure there is a fitting that is a bulkhead.
