Did some par testning today.

Have 200 at the bottom and around 370 at the top of the rocks. Quite even around the whole tank.

Fixture is 16 inch above the tank.

Thinking about updating my leds to something newer.

Got my sfiligoi led when it was releases in 2011. Its 160w but it has 80% white and 20% blue Leds and 3 RGB. Dont like it all that much.

So what and how many should I get for my tank? Tank is 29.5x22.44x19.7 55 gallons (75x57x50cm 210L)

Kessil 360x, AI Hydra, radion xr30w pro? Or maybe changing one bar at the time on my sfiligoi to Orpehek or2 60 bars ( same lenght is the bars in the sfiligoi )?

Turnd the leds to 100% and did some new measurments.

320-350 at the bottom middle of the rocks ~370 and top of my rocks 430-470
Fixture still 16 inch above the tank.

Guys looking for some help, this was my favorit coral befor I took down the tank 8 years ago. And I would like to find a similar frag now. What ID do you think? A. Granulosa?

Hey.
Looking back at my old tanks I never had better growth on my corals than when I did run t5. So this got me thinking of running 50-50 T5 and led. I have 4x 24w T5 somewhere in my garage. So maybe 4x24w T5 and 2 or 3 orphek OR2 bars in the middle?

What do you guts think? Did you have better growth under T5 then LED?

That sounds like a great plan! I used the Chinese 3w strips mixed with t5s on an icecap ballast on one tank and loved it.

Picked up a Montipora Digitata ”superman” yesterday.

This photo is under daylight, under more blue evening light the blue base is really nice.

Alright, today I took down the leds, 4x24w T5 is now over the tank. 50/50 ati blue plus and coral plus, and two bars of blue leds from the sfiligoi fixture.

Will change the blue led bars to orphek or2 blue plus after christmas when I have more cash.

Have added a bunch of montipora this week.

Also added 4 more fish to try get the no3 over 0

Will move the Acropora i have to a frag tank ( next thing I Will set up ) and make this tank a Monti dominated tank.

Alright guys.
Some more changes to the light. Was able to get a sfiligoi xr4, 400w MH and 4x 24w T5 for ~ 90 $

What bulb would you get for a 100% sps tank?

Back in the days I used to run reeflux 10.000k Mh with some blueish bulbs

Hamilton and radium seem to be the best of what’s left. I liked the reflux 12k and xm10k bulbs the most and can’t find anything similar to either.
