So since last night I have been planning out in my head how Im going to plumb the 40B into the display's sump. Im kind of stuck on the overflow for the 40B. I want to keep it as simple as possible, clean and silent. 1 drain line would be the simplest and cleanest but it will be hard to make silent. A herbi overflow would be the easiest and cleanest way to make it silent but will require a 2nd drain making a total of 5 1" pipes that would be going to the sump. Thats way too much piping going on, I need to be able to work on the sump still. I could just do a 2nd drain as emergency only and T into my main diplay emergency drain. That would clean up some piping clutter. However I dont want to modify the main displays plumbing. The other thing is the overflow box. Eshopps S is the smallesst one I can find thats any good and internal. Problem is it has 2 drains and the problem with that is the not being certain about 1 or 2 drains. I could just do a bulkhead in the back and a 90 with a screen fitting to keep snails out, but the noise thing again. I am so stuck on this right now. Any advise would be welcome.
