Hey everyone, obligatory new guy post. I’ve done saltwater in the past (20 years ago), and my son expressed interest in starting a tank. A LOT has changed since then so I’m going to have a lot of questions as I’m going along. He’s primarily interested in clownfish/anemone maybe another small fish, some inverts, and other soft corals.

Here are my general ideas for size, looking at probably 50-75g display tank and a sump. My initial AI recs were and innovative marine INT 75 or Red Sea reefer 350 G2+. Didn’t know if anyone has had experience with these or is there a better place to start?

Back in the day I used to use a forum similar to this, are there any other sources or YouTubers you would recommend?

Thanks in advance for any help you can provide

Looking forward to getting back into the hobby!

Looking forward to getting back into the hobby! Back in the game, huh? Are we talking about literally getting back into reefkeeping, or just finally finding the time to mess with the tanks again? I feel like every time I step away for a bit, it’s a whole learning curve to catch up. If you want a quick way to switch gears and still get some excitement, check out https://legiano-ca.com/ — lots of games that load instantly and keep things fun without all the setup headaches.
Welcome!

Very well documented on many saltwater forums, Red sea has had endless problems with seams failing in g1 and g2 tanks, too early to tell much about g3 tanks but IMO why keep giving them money?
