Corner stand is a pain to get things under. When with the best sump I could find and now an ATO reservoir. It will work. Just might take a couple of refills a week.

Looking good brother. I’m impressed so far. You’ve really gone about this the right way. Can’t wait to ship you some frags.

For everyone else, this guy and I go way back and we usually jump on every possible opportunity to make fun of each other ... so what I just wrote was incredibly painful for me and I should be commended for that rare moment of sincerity.

Quick update. ATO is working flawless, wish I would have done that 10 years ago. Picked up a diamond goby, without a lid on the tank. I never had issues with gobies back in the day so I figured I would be fine. Guess not, middle of the first night out the top behind the tank. That was not fun to explain to my 4 year old. May try a yellow watchman with a shrimp next round. AI prime seems to be broken so I am firing up the DSUNY black boxes for now. Looking for lights but not too seriously yet.

Update. Chaeto and cleaning crew coming next week. What I assume are diatoms are loving the lights. Lawnmower blenny is picking away at it. Cleaner shrimp has found his cave and only comes out to eat. Clowns are still hanging around the return pipes.

Long overdue post. Started getting some coral only to have a power outage that amazingly only took out 2 coral. Fish all survived. Current stock list 2 clowns, lawn mower blenny, tomini tang, yellow watchman goby, mandarin, springer’s damsel, pistol shrimp, fire shrimp and cleaner shrimp. Dealing with flatworms so that is why the damsel. Had no luck with a six line, it was a jumper. Couple types of zoas/palys, mushrooms, toxic green leather and hammer. The hammer is the newest edition, about 4 weeks ago. It was a single head and now sprouting 3 more heads. Working on a cabinet for the control panel and a better water mixing station.

Sad update: Springers, who normally hide all day, must have started to bully the clowns at night. They both jumped out consecutive nights. Not fun for my son to find the first one. First trap on the way and the damsel is headed back to the LFS. He wasn’t touching the flatworms anyway. Picked up some bumble bee snails, heard they may munch on them. I know flat worm exit works but am trying to go natural.
In positive news the control panel cabinet is done! Currently working on a screen cover (a little late).

Got 11 corals from my buddy, thanks @Homebrewer. New light setup inspired by the Wall of Sound. It does allow me to add a screen now, so getting that wrasse. Lawnmower Blenny went MIA so picked up a starry blenny.

Screen is done. Not the prettiest but will be effective. Also got the yellow coris wrasse I have been wanting. One more fish to go…going to be picky. We want active colorful and reef safe.
