Both of my tanks are high in nutrients, nitrates 30-40 and phosphate .3 to .40. I had been dosing Vinegar 15ml for the 70g and 25ml for the 120 little over two months already, it doesn’t seem help much.

Now, if I choose to add let say Microbacter or any bacteria in a bottle would the vinegar essentially feeding the bacteria and ended up more effective pulling the nutrients out?

120g is over 5 years old and the 70g is over 2 years. Weekly water changes at 10-15%

Thanks

I would be cautious as you may get a bacterial bloom and low oxygen levels.

I do not think the vinegar is made particularly more effective by also adding bacteria, since there are plenty of bacteria naturally present to consume vinegar, but it may reduce the risk of cyano due to the added organic.

I thought the aim is build up towards 1ml per gallon . I could be wrong I am no expert on the subject but I did read it on a dosing thread
