Bacteria or Copepod Bloom?

That’s what I’m thinking a 24w is like £60 but there renowed for only working for a few months. But I did find that oase 11w ones are £74 and I can plump it in to the return pump feed in may aio back into the tank but it looks messy. But it’s a temp solution!!.. how did you get on with ammonia as the bacteria died ?
I didn’t do anything, kept along with routine maintenance. While all this was going on and leading up to it I had turned all my pumps up considerably to oxygenate the water best I could. I turned up my return pump to agitate the surface more, skimmer running at max flow, my mp40’s I turned up a bit as well. Waited it out and about 30hrs later it was gone, my tank hadn’t been that clear in months. Immediately after i started dosing phos and nitrates and no issues since, that was over a month ago

That is good water is slightly clearer and some progress! When I had the Bacteria Bloom it lasted for two weeks or so. 1st year of a new tank will be challenging especially if you're in it for the 1st time.
its my 2nd but the 1st time was 20 years ago and it was dechlorinated tap water.. never had half of these issue,,, just occasional bit of gha which the lawnmower blenny eat up!! :)

I would love to have a Blenny in my tank, but I have overreached and then some. 😅 A recent addition of a Mandarin Dragonet may have contributed to the growth of more gha, as I overfed my system with what I normally feed and that is on me....lol
