About a month or two ago i hopped back into the hobby after about 5+ years. I had a 125 gallon i loved but when i decided to move from FL to MI i sold it and the livestock to make the move easier. Well im up in the Mitten and im settled enough to where when i saw nuvo fusion 15 gals on sale for 80$ i bought two. now i am here excited to show yall Baked Reef. I am already in the process of building the stand for the second 15 gallon and the 60gallon breeder. The 60 gallon will be peninsula style with a 40g breeder sump for plenty of room. Im also currently turning my basement grow room into a proper fish room as i save for a 72" peninsula like a cade or similar.

This is the start of my first 15gallon i will be merging into this thread to keep things simple for me.

So today after grabbing some quality cedar 2x4 i built the 60g and a second 15g stand frame.
Next is prep, paint. topper. and doors for the 60g

I also included a video of the first "gang" to be going in the 15g nuvo fusion. two clowns and a bi color. They are in week two of copper treatment QT

man so Ive got a long list i will probably have to narrow down.
it includes
mandarin
leopard or blue star leopard wrasse
midas blenny
blue spotted puffer
2 clowns (already have)
sharknose goby
longnose hawkfish
bi color blenny (alrdy have)
chalk bass or anthias (some schooling)
starry blenny

as for the other tanks i have yet to decide and kind of look at them as like QT in a way for smaller fish i get.

so im still working on the 60 gallon. Got the frame for the stand built and caulked and wood filled. I need to get play wood for the top and bottom. I will also make a plywood divider for a rear electronics section.
i also built the frame for the second 15 gallon which im not sure what i will house.

the clownfish and bi color blenny are in the first 15 gallon and seem well. i need to get corals as its bland.

I also ordered a 135 gallon SCA 36x36x24tall rimless. It comes next week. couldnt resist a large cube tank for 68% this month.

So i have begun to design my fish room in the basement. I made a alpha layout and plan to do a space themed floor via black with some sort of speckles for "stars". So here it is the layout, im not a professional lol.

I also just realized my doors are 35 inches wide and 32 at widest. so Im not gonna be able to get the 135 gallon into the house unless i hire someone to take the door frame out and back.
or if i can lean it on its side through the door ways. its 24" tall but i think that may be risky right?

Back to the 60 gal build! i painted the underside of the stand today after adding the plywood. I also got my modular marine 1200gph overflow and i had concerns with space for returns but i talked to MM and went ahead with the drilling. Waiting on 30mm drill bit and 1/2 bulkheads for the returns to be drilled

More progress on the stand! Painted the bottom and now just adding the top. sanding it suppper smooth.

Also got the 30mm drill bit and made my return holes. Right side is about a 1/4 inch from the overflow box and the left side is about a mm lol. but it looks good.

i have to figure out how to plumb it the best with dual returns and three drains. '

first coral in the 15 gallon is doing well next day after putting it in there!

Got the ovc dry fitted. Might have to order one more piece but i might just live with a slip to slip to extend it.

That’s how I plan on bringing mine in, flipping it on its side to fit through the front door. I’ve seen many videos of huge tanks having this done to fit them through with no issues so not too concerned with doing it myself.
