Ballast question

What type of ballast is a gallaxy dual 250 not dimmable. Just trying to fixture out which bulbs give best blue for SE. Have heard radium will not fire right. And phoenix SE are not as good as the DE. It all depends of your ballast but other than digital electric i find no info on this thing.

The galaxy ballast is a electronic ballast(m58 ) and it will most def fire a radium. It will just under drive it and shorten its life. To run a radium to spec with a galaxy ballast it needs to be on the hqi setting if the ballast has that feature.

As for the Phoenix se bulb, it's still a great bulb. But I think it gets lack luster reviews because there are so many great options with se bulbs. While not so much in the de dept.
