Banned from MR!!!!!!!

So was it because "they' were upset at you for fragging to much and selling higher end stuff that they are not able to get a hold of to chop up out of the box and sell? I know that the chop shop does not post as much with items for sale on the site and that the shop looks like dung from what I am told. I personally have never set foot inside that place and won't. Places that get in cultured stuff no less and frag it for high dollar just don't sit well with me. It is not like they will never see another one just like the one they are charging out the yang for!!

Someone told me that they are getting black balled by a lot of distributors as well and I hope the rumor is true :)

Its an LFS here in Michigan. They get in corals and chop it up as soon as it gets in. I hear they are having money issues, so hopefully the doors will shut soon.

oh BTW guys the chop shop I was talking about was actually a Autobody shop owned by the guy that banned me.

But on the other chop shop I don't know let 'em do what they want IMO, biz get what the deserve? So if we don't go or suport it that is what will be.

for the longest time he was advertising his business in his signature line but others who did that were reprimanded and had to change it :)

I am not sure if we are talking about the same shop but i was talking to a guy in MI that said a shop by him gets high end zoa's all the time and frags them up for sale. This hobbiest had some of the best zoa's out there and I was jealous. Most of my LFS does not even have zoa's. So am I missing the point here or being able to walk in a place with high end frags available not cool in some way?

im over in the UK and i do some propagating myself growing frags from 1 or 2polyps and i enjoy doin this, it pays for stuff in the long term and its my thing.

we also over here in the UK have ppl chopping up corals on purchase and selling zoa frags as also we have some shops doin same thing with some of their supplies etc.

i read many threads/posts on various forums regular having a pop at this method of spreading out corals/frags and i honestly do think that lots of you seem to have two rules regarding this activaty at times and the only reason for this as far as i can see can be directed at one thing........money

i can go look on any forum at any time (and that includes this forum) find posts where by someone only recently purchased a zoa colony and is offering frags from it for swaps or sale straight away, and others asking other members for a frag asap on showing stuff etc............. now how is that any different to someone who does that regular because unless im missing something the treatment of these corals is exactly same by all.

i have a feeling everyones beef about this activaty is the money being made because if someone with a 100x polyp PPE colony decided to chop up it all up and give away for free 20x frags of 5x polyps most of you would be fighting over them without a bad word but infact saying what a great bloke.

im personally not for it or against it but its part of the coral industry, lots of respected coral sellers do it to a degree all the time, you all support it really as i bet you have zoa frags in your reefs that were chopped from colonies recently purchased by others and many of you have chopped off frags for others pretty quick after purchasing them.

im so baffled by threads that start having a pop at ppl who do it when you all part of the game lol

please feel free to enlighten me what i havent yet grasped regarding this activaty.

YUP thats the one, I had a buddy that wanted to pay for sponsorship and said he was going to have the name of his reality co. in the SIG and they told him he couldn't sponsor!

I agree with that for sure, and I don't really think it is any dif. than anywhere else up the line I think that store just figured out of to do exactly that make more $ and other are MAD about it I guess, I don't think anyone had relised that it happens but just up the chain at the wholesale leavel and they are buying where whotsalers buy and then choping it themself and selling in a maner as to try to put other out of Biz! As far as what I heard anyway?
But in the maner they were doing it a lot of there suppliers stop shipping to them so they say? I don't know the story but if I would have thought of it I may still be in BIZ, the mark up would have actually prob. cover the theft from employees! LOL
Being in this BIZ as a Brick and Mortor store is very Dif IMO and takes alot to do it and make a profit!

ANd that is why they banned me they couldn't understand that after 20 yrs of being in the hobby I have learn how to do thing wit hout a tank that crashes every other month, so the corals that I have collected over the yrs and new one I decide just don't fit or didn't color up the way I thought I will sell. I was WARNED about posting things FS a long time ago and thought maybe they got over it so I tried again with a PM from the saying I can't so I sent back a PM saying that with in the day I was oing to go look at everybodys post and find out how much time they spend in the selling fourm compaired to the actual Thread, which I had done before to prove MY point, some of the MODs even over there have no more than a few post in anything put the seeling, trading and buying threads!
The bottom line he let it get personal after I told him that I hope that when he has to close his store he can't afford the internet so I wouldn't have to deal with HIM!
