Barbed bulkhead?

I’m starting a 90g Seapora corner-flo build that I’ll be converting to herbie drains and the 2 bulkheads it came with have barbed push fittings on the ends/bottom. Is this only for tubing/flex pvc or can a regular schedule 40 pipe be pushed onto them?

No, if you're going to use pvc, you'll want to replace the bulkheads with the appropriate ones.
