Bare bottom detritus solution

Any inverts that will clean a bare bottom, mostly detritus and some algae.
Im thinking of a sea hare for algae but I have no Idea what to use for detritus, if any
Any good experience with cucumbers?

Dont suggest siphoning please, its very difficult with this kind of setup

Detritus shouldn't settle on a barebottom. Try adding a powerhead for flow to keep that area clean.

Funny you mention that, in my sps frag tank there is no detritus, 4 power heads keeping everything suspended,
My lsp frag tank has only 1 and way less flow, it is 4' x 8' and only 8" if water, so its kind of challenging.
Any other suggestions

Sadly there are not going to be any inverts that are capable of keeping the tank clean, at least not with out a crazy number of them. Your only two options are going to be increase flow or find an easier way to vacuum the bottom. Can you post pics of the tank? It might help someone come up with an alternative solution

4' x 8' x 8" ... that _is_ a challenge!

I might consider at least adding another powerhead at the far end of the tank - I've got opposing Gyre pumps in my 6' tank (though not 4' wide!), and they keep water moving nicely pretty much everywhere.

Invertebrates tend to have fairly low demands - so it'd likely take an awful lot of them to do the job ... and even then, things that consume detritus ... pump more detritus out the other end . . .

I'm given to understand that there are some bacterial products that claim to reduce detritus - perhaps look into one of those?

You could add a sponge to one of your power heads to help localize the detritus.It would need rinsed on a regular basis to keep the pump running at it's best.

Silly thought ....

I know it's not an invert, but what about a bristletooth tang? They tend to be detritivores, and at the very least, it might help to swish the stuff out of the corners . . .

Try more powerheads but only turn them on every so often to help suspend the detritus. Possibly a spray bar type tube the full length of the tank with the holes drilled to face towards the bottom.
