Hi,

So I setup a bare bottom reef tank , it's been running for 3 months , and more often then not , I have my water kind of cloudy. This is probably bacterial blooms? Is this normal for bare bottom? Anyway I could prevent it?

I carbon dose and only add bacteria when water changing , once or twice a month.

Thank you!!

You’ll eventually get better advise but watch for over feeding and stop wetet changes to help with bacterial bloom. Picture would be nice to to make sure that’s what it is but it sounds like one

Any ideas? does it look like a bacterial bloom? I'm pretty new to bare bottoms , and never had this on a reef with sand :( It is worse at the moment
