Bayer dip and aiptasia

I have personally not seen it to be successful against aptasia, but that is just my experience.
 
Aiptasia IS coral, and a real hardy coral at that. If Bayer, or any other dip could kill Aiptasia, then it would also kill ANY coral dipped into it. Sorry.

+1 I was literally typing this response before looking up and seeing yours! :)

Aiptasia is a pest coral, like a weed. Xenia, GSP and the like...they are weeds because they are very very hard to kill and end up over-running things. If they were easy to kill, they wouldn't be pests! :) Just blast them with a needle full of kalk paste.
 
Aptasia, being an invertebrate, does occasionally succumb to a a Bayer dip depending on longevity and concentration. If you are able to extend whatever time frame you're dipping your corals for by at least a minute, you'll have a good chance at killing the aptasia. Another good method is to use 'Aptasia X' or 'Joe's Juice'... even squirting a couple mLs of 'ph down' directly into their mouths will take care of em.
