BCS Bowls set!

Woooo, my Illini made it to the Rose Bowl. Thanks for choking WVU and Missouri!!

My main issue is with Kansas making it over Missouri (Big problem with this one). I'm not sure how you can do this and it just goes to show how arbitrary these selections are if you do not get one of the guaranteed spots.

Not to mention LSU jumps 5 spots to #2.....I don't think they should be in the title game....Not to say they are not a good team but I have a problem with them jumping 5 spots over other teams that won as well and were ranked higher. If they were that good then they should have been ranked higher to begin with. The BCS is a crock!

if UGA made it to the big game it would be the END of the BCS......theres no possible way anyone would take it seriously ever again.

Agreed, and really, who else do you put in other then LSU? They get in by default pretty much.

i honestly don't have a problem with LSU getting in.....they beat VT head to head.......even though both teams are playing completely differently right now.

i DO have a problem with ohio state getting in.....i knew they would.....but they are going to get BLOWN out.....just like last year.....again. they have played absolutely no one.

I agree Ga should have not been there - they should not have been ranked #4 to start with. I hate how the bcs is! The only thing predictable about the bcs is that is will suck!! I wish osu had not made it - I would have liked to see ou and lsu play - that would have been a killer game. but it looks like the buckeyes will get blackeyes by another sec team!!

i guess my major problem with the BCS.......is how it unfolded b/w last week and this week. and here is my point:

#6 VT beats #11 BC in the ACC championship game, 30-16

#7 LSU beats #14 UT in the SEC championship game, 21-14

what part about the above does LSU deserve to jump VT in the rankings?

IMO.....LSU should never have been ranked behind VT in the first place...and it just goes to show that the majority of the human voters that comprise the Harris pole don't have a clue what they are doing. its all about media hype...and voting based on emotions.

i guarantee that if the regular season ended yesterday, and there was seeding for an 8 team playoff....then LSU would not have made the jump over VT. LSU made the jump b/c they were being picked for the champsionship. IMO...VT got screwed by the system...but LSU did deserve to go b/c of the head to head match up.....it had nothing to do with the poles.

IMO....Mizzou got the major shaft....finished #6 in the BCS.....but is not going to a BCS game. Kansas finishes at #8....goes to the BCS and didn't even go to their conf championship, and has a strength of schedule of 109th. Mizzou was basically penelized for going to the Big12 championship game...thats crap.

Also, has anyone else noticed how lopsided these matchups are in the BCS? they don't leave anything open to interpretation after all is said and done. each game comprises a powerhouse team against a team lucky to be in the BCS. why not VT vs. UGA? why not UGA vs. OU? why not USC vs. UGA?

IMO...the BCS didn't want powerhouse teams going up against each other and then trying to claim a share of the national title or boistering their support for why there were left out of the big game.

i am kinda shocked its VT vs. Kansas...........i had my money on VT vs. WVU......esspecially since its a major rivalry game that hasn't been played for several years....seems like the game would be an easy sell out...and a major TV draw.

but i imagine the orange bowl didn't want to have to deal with the utter hatred b/w VT and WVU.....it would be a very ugly week leading up the the game with lots of arrests. and possibly lots of brawls in the stands during the game, and definitely after the game.

I was in Gatlinburg at a restaurant last night during the 3rd and 4th quarter of the WVU game. There was a whole group of WVU fans eating and watching the game. There was about 20 of them. Anyway they were loud, slapping tables, cheering, yelling and all that good stuff. I stood next to their tables during the 4 and 17 incomplete pass and I have to say I loved it. LOL!

Their little dreams were crushed! :D

its even better b/c they lost to a terrible team, at home.......and it was PITT!!! lol the pitt/wvu rivalry is NAAAAAAAASTY!

if i was a PITT fan leaving WVU's stadium last night......i'd want a police escort to my car b/c i'd be scared for my life.

Your just being a uga hater because we beat bama!! They did a lot better than I thought with sooo many starters - you gotta admit they got one hellofa good QB that is only a sophmore and one crazy running back that just won't quit. For being such a young team they did great this year - you better look next year and the year after that. UGA will be a team to beat for the next few years...

Al your right about the bcs - There were a lot better match ups than they let happen - it just doesn't make any sense.
