So I've had this beach bum montipora for years. It's grown pretty well, but at some point last year it lost all of its vibrant color. The color slowly started to come back, but it had one dead spot that was consistently growing algae on it. I used a Dremel and cut away the dead tissue and algae. It healed up nicely and looked great fora while, but now it's getting this reddish looking fur on it. My first instinct is some sort of a fungus, or bacterial infection, it doesn't appear to be an algae though it might be. Any recommendations would be welcomed. I think it's time for a dip, and a move to an area with a little less light. That would actually would be fine with me, because then I can order a Battle Box, and put a couple of acros in its place. The spot it's in gets over 300 par during my peak light hours. I think it's too much light for it.
