Fed my tank some frozen cyclops and then used my long blaster to put some TDO pellets in the corner and my @Biota_Marine captive bred male mandarin swam as fast as he could from the rockwork he was eating on right to the corner for his meal!

Can't speak highly enough about the benefits of captive bred mandarins over wild caught (besides the cost lol) as my guys eats every frozen food I put in and every pellet I toss in the corner!

Couldn't agree more! I added one when my tank was about six-weeks old. At the time the fish was about the size of a newborn baby's pinky. Now, about 6 months later, it's the size of an adult man's thumb. I had seeded the tank pretty well with pod colonies but I've done that in the past with wild-caught mandarins and have never seen them grow like this.

I've often thought captive-bred fish lack the color intensity of wild-caught but that's definitely not the case with the mandarin.

Thank you for supporting us and giving one of our mandarins a great home!
