What I meant was did u make any changes or just give it time to get the above growth? I want to put the same scrubber in my sump if it works well. Any tips for this simple scrubber?

It seems to be working! Just growing thick hair algae, as I don't think it's the preferred environment for turf algae, but it's keeping hair to a minimum in the display without any other form of nutrient export beyond water changes. Removed the skimmer some time ago. This is doing a better job IMO.

Ben, how high does your water run on the ATS plastic screen? I am thinking about incorporating an ATS in my sump.

The plastic screen is mostly submerged...the water is at the same height as the baffle in the back of the tank before the return pump on that side.
