These berghia do not eat hydroids. They only eat aiptasia.

They will have a positive effect on your SPS and LPS as you corals won't be stung by aiptasia.

Do you have any Lynx Nudibraches? I've heard they will eat hydroids.

Of course they will. If you get enuff of them, theyll start to breed. Ive had them live on my gyres until the area was sweeped of aiptasia. The only time youll see them get shredded by pumps is if theres no aiptasia, and theyll stoop to great lengths to find them.

how do they do with banded coral shrimp?

Hi philfree,
To err on the side of caution, coral banded shrimp are not recommended in the same tank. In general CBS are pretty aggressive. Trap the coral banded shrimp if you can to move to another tank (yours or a friends).
Thanks.

Aiptasia eating filefish are opportunistic feeders, that could also feast on coral. Sure enuff, may feast on berghia as well. Caution lol

Ill also add that berghia usually surface at night, 9 x out of 10 they are not walking around in daylight. Hope i was of help!
