I am having some trouble with my macro algae growth I have chaeto & calaupra and the chaeto isn't growing and is slightly pale and I'm using 40 watt screw in cree led 2700k bulbs which aren't cutting it. Are these 14watt led bulbs on Amazon that have red blue and white let's for full spectrum coverage worth the $65 per light since I need 2 for my dual refugium.

Youlll want the philips led/ its 4800K and a pretty full spectrum. $17 each I think. look for the wide not the spot. you need more blue for plants.

Ok thanks & is red any better then blue & I read 6500K is optimum for most macro algaes do you know if this holds any water lol? Thanks for replying

Lol I have the mars aqua 165watt dimmable units 3 to be exact running as my tank lights and I love them to death. I need that in a compact led bulb which they make but their not cheap when I've used homedepot lights and had decent growth. Ugh decisions lol.

My macro is growing like crazy with these 2 15watt 6500k led screw in equal to 100 watt each
