Can you feed your tank too many of those? I have a 40 gallon tank with one mandarin two clownfish and a neon Dottyback. Do you think 2000 of those would be too much at once in my tank?

@FugeTown That's a good idea IMO. To add I'd also try and get the tisbe pods from podyourreef, they're the only kind that will reproduce once you add them.

No. Actually that’s not enough. Your mandarin will eat that in approximately 2 or 3 days. The other three fish will eat the pods as well. You might want to start reseeding it once a month. Throw in some baby brine shrimp too.

Even though my tank reproduces tiger pods and some type of anthropods im gonna get some more from that podyourreef site you recommended. My mandarin is happy and I wanna keep it that way.

Amphipods=/=Copepods. 2000 amphipods in a 40 would look like a grey snowstorm until numbers equalized to food supply. Amphipods are great to have in your tank and most fish will readily eat them but only the largest of Dragonets will.

I spoke to the owner of podYR at a frag swap, he told me the only ones that reproduce in your aquarium is the tisbe and I inquired if I should go tiger pod route and he said they're more for finicky eaters rather than a steady pod population. I'm no rocket genius but take that FWIW.

It's my understanding that baby brine eat pods and have a very short lifespan (days) in a regular aquarium.

Here's what I did;

Plumbed in a 10g frag tank. Frag tank has 3 snails, and zero predators.

For some reason, this is producing more pods than a fuge EVER has. Maybe it's because the reef quality lighting on the frags is making a lot of small algae for them to munch on? I'm not sure... But no fuge has ever been as successful at pods as this frag tank for me.
