Hi all.

Is anyone else nervous about putting a Solenoid on your aquarium when these things are like £6 on eBay?

Hardly screams quality.

Any suggestions on what to avoid? What casings are best? Some expensive options are stainless steel, is this ok with RO water? etc.

Anything that won't rust or leech plastics into your system.

This solenoid is just for the RO waters nothing super expensive needed. I think.

There are 12v and 24v options in the UK, 24v seems to be better at delivering the needed watts more efficiently. Then making less heat. But lots come with wires or blank connectors, I'm not sure what I would need to plug in to the UK plug.
