Profilux...duh! Wayyy more adaptable and upgradeable than any other unit on the market.

Tunze vs. Vortec has been debated endlessly. Use the search function and I'm sure you can find some threads on this board and others.

I like Tunze for many applications, mainly because I have more flexiblity for where I can mount it. That being said the vortec are sweet for a tank where you can mount the pumps on either end of the aquarium. For an SPS tank Tunze has my vote, Vortec gives the whole tank a nice gentle flow which is ideal for many LPS and soft corals. The decision depends on what you what you want to do with the tank.

I have seen both, but I do like the controller options for tunze, wheras I have heard many good things from the Vortech.....I still dont have all the gadgets to run a calc and kalk reactor, so I am afraid the Profilux will be overkill (dose calcium, alk, and other supplements weekly and by hand).....I am looking to eliminate all the seperate timers and outlets for my skimmers, lights, and many pumps......The cord mess is really ticking me off!!

My tank is mixed, half SPS and half LPS.....On the fence I guess?!?

Maybe I should have said that. The profilux looks awesome, I just need Todd or one of the fellow Mi members to help me set it up?!?

Except you can't calibrate the temperature control on a profilux.

I run ETC's on both my exhaust fan and my heaters.....As I thought there is a spot to plug both a controller for the heater and the cooling and the current probes would work as they are, is this correct?
