Fish poop. Only thing my corals ever get to eat. Besides the occasional PE mysis that might float by.

Seriously though, fish poop is the absolute best coral food.

In Soviet Russia, corals eat fish poop!

I don't usually feed PE mysis to the fish, but I've been trying to mix up my frozen variety lately. I was surprised at the feeding response. I had a couple acros that responded with their filaments out last night. Not something I've noticed feeding Rod's or LRS. I don't wash any of my frozen.

To answer the original post. I like BeneReef the most and use it 2-3 times a week. I also have roids, ipsf coral heaven, and acro power that I use much more sparingly.

I've recently started using Vitalis LPS pellets. The lps nems get the bigger pieces, the dust that gets left behind in the turkey baster is for the zoas and gorgonians. The feeding response is amazing and I think I'm seeing a bit more PE on my blastos and acans especially.

PE mysis has a lot of oil in it, your corals were probably "smelling" the oils and responding. I get huge feeding response from my LPS, and to some extent my SPS when I feed mysis.

When to mix up fish meal: When was the last time you tried a different brand of food for your reef?
