What are the best coral mounting solutions you guys use? I've used the gel super glue and I make a mess of it and tried the epoxy but done really like the white base everywhere.

Those really are the best two. I think I personally prefer the super glue.

Super glue gel... I buy it from local home improvement or hardware stores.... I have been using Gorilla brand for the last several months and it has worked great. The key is to make sure it is a gel and is Cyanoacrylate. If yes to both... You are good to go.

super glue for small frags for bigger ones make a ball of two part expoxy squish it on to the frag plug then push a hole in the center of it, fill that with super glue and put your frag into that, then pinch the sides together around the frag. This works great to hold bigger pieces

Any tricks on getting the gel to set up quickly?

How quickly are you looking? Mine is usually good to go after a few seconds.

use super glue gel, sets within 10-15 secs sometimes less depending on how much you used

Dip it in the tank water.

I put the gel glue on the frag or coral.
Put a ball of putty on.
Push some holes in the putty.
Put gel glue on.
Push it into the rock.

Tric k for me has been to let the putty set up for a few minutes.

Ecotech glue, very thick and sets fast. Be sure not to get water in it or you lose the bottle.
