Just thought I’d share my most important reef purchase I’ve ever made. This thing is magic. If you don’t have one, you need it! Refractometers are a thing of the past. Thanks @Hanna Instruments for this masterpiece.

I like to tell people that by the time you check your salinity with a refractometer, I could have checked mine, yours, and the neighbors! :p

Ive had this over a year and happy with it. I also use the Hanna digital as a backup. Theyre both super easy to use and even displays tank temperature

Mine tends to stay within a half degree of my actual tank thermometer as well. Which one is actually inaccurate? Who knows lol. Within a half degree is acceptable though. Mine varies between 0.2-0.4° F. I would say it’s pretty darn accurate. I’ve been manually topping off my tank with RODI since September 2020, using this as my trusty tool. So effortless and quick.
