I'm looking to purchase an led hang on or mounted reef light, I want to totally get rid of the hood so a retrofit is a no go. I plan to grow very colorful sps, lps and softies so I would need it to have actinic lighting to show of those colors. Any help would be appreciate. Oooh yeah my budget is 500.

I have a cc-120 on my bio cube 29 and it is amazing. The color is great and the growth amazing. Plus the price is even better for a full spectrum led. Here is a quick look. The pic isn't the best, but you get the idea

Freshwater filter only or is it? Have you ever used an HOB filter on a saltwater tank?
